Review for Retests and Cumulative Exam

On November 7th/8th we:

  • were told the exact breakdown of our Cumulative exam on November 14th/15th.  It will have:
    • a non-calculator section of 20 multiple choice questions
    • a calculator section consisting of 15 multiple choice questions
  • handed in last day’s homework
  • practiced filling in our multiple choice bubble sheet with a sample multiple choice exam.
  • were assigned questions from page 148 # 11 – 16, 18 (these review learning outcomes 7 – 10)

Your Term 1 Retest day will be on November 12th/13th.  Your retest requests are due on November 8th at 8 am.

On November 14th/15th you will have your cumulative exam that covers learning outcomes 1 – 10.

Review Class

On November 4th/5th we:

  • warmed up with a puzzle
  • were given a some multiple choice questions to practice for our upcoming cumulative exam.  We only did version 1 in class, but there are other versions to practice in this file!
  • were given our test back and asked to do corrections
  • talked about how to sign up for retests.  Here’s the link!  Please remember to submit your retest request by November 8th at 8am!
  • were assigned questions from page 148 # 1 – 4, 7, 19 – 23 (these review learning outcomes 1 – 6).  Next day we will be assigned questions from learning outcomes 7 – 10.

Unit Test

On October 31st/November 1st we:

  • had our unit test on L.O. 7 to 10
  • handed in the requested homework for this unit

  • warmed up with a puzzle
  • reviewed for our unit test with questions on the whiteboards
  • reviewed with questions from our textbook – page 84 # 4 – 6, 8, 10, 14, 16, 19

Remember, you will have a homework check next day!

  • L.O. 8: Demonstrate an understanding of how to use scientific notation and the powers of ten to express large and small numbers.
  • L.O. 9: Explain and apply the order of operations, including exponents, with and without technology.
  • L.O. 10: Demonstrate an understanding of power laws.
