Final Exam – Part 1

On June 18th/19th we:

  • had our Non-Calculator portion of the exam
  • were reminded to return our textbook next day

Here’s a breakdown of suggested questions to prepare you for the next part:

  • Due June 20th/21st for your Calculator portion of the exam:
    • Scale and Similarity (no symmetry) – page 377 # 3 – 11 and page 380 # 1 – 2
    • Linear Relations – page 312 # 4 – 8 and page 204 # 1 – 5
    • Banking and Budgeting – optional package of questions *won’t be collected
    • Data and Probability – page 460 # 1 – 6
    • Problem Solving – throughout the questions… so I didn’t pick out any questions specifically 🙂

Our final exam will be in 2 parts:

  • On June 20th/21st we will have a calculator multiple choice test.  It will have 28 questions.

Practicing for our Final!

On June 13th/14th we:

  • had our quiz on Linear Equations and Inequalities
  • completed our Banking and Budgeting retest if we had handed in forms & corrections
  • worked on review material from our textbook to study for our exam (see below)

Linear Equations Review

On June 11th/12th we:

  • reviewed linear equations and inequalities
  • were given a handout to work on
  • got a breakdown of our final exam (which units, number of questions, etc.)

Math 9 will be having a final exam during the last week of classes.  The details of this exam will be announced closer to the date, however it will cover each of the topics from this year.

Next day you will have a quiz on Polynomials.  This will be included in your Cumulative mark, so be sure to study!

Powers and Exponents Review & Analyzing Spending

On June 1st/4th we:

Next day you will have a quiz on Powers and Exponents.  This will be included in your Cumulative mark, so be sure to study!

Banking and Budgeting Test + Review of Rational Numbers

On May 30th/31st we:

Next day you will have a quiz on Rational Numbers.  This will be included in your Cumulative mark, so be sure to study!

A retest for the Data and Probability unit will be written in class on June 7th/8th. If you would like to retest this unit, please submit your retest forms no later than 8:20AM on June 1st. This time around there will be no exceptions! Make sure these are submitted ON TIME!

Math 9 will be having a final exam during the last week of classes.  The details of this exam will be announced closer to the date, however it will cover each of the topics from this year.  We will begin reviewing for this test in class on May 30th/31st, however some students may wish to begin reviewing for this test on their own if they know there are particular areas to work on.
